Laboratory services, bookings and specimen acceptance

An online booking, enquiry or test request does not by itself guarantee that a particular test, appointment time or specimen will be accepted. Where our booking process states that an appointment is pending confirmation, it becomes confirmed only when Pegasus confirms it. Testing may be subject to specimen requirements, preparation instructions, service availability, referral to a specialist/reference laboratory, payment requirements and other conditions communicated to you.

Turnaround times shown on the website are estimates unless expressly confirmed otherwise. Delays can occur for reasons such as repeat testing, sample suitability, transport or reference-laboratory processing.

Prices and payment

We may receive personal data directly from you, from a person acting with your authority, or from an authorised healthcare professional/referrer. Where specialist testing is arranged through a reference laboratory, relevant information may also be exchanged with that laboratory as necessary for the requested service.

Accuracy and availability

We take reasonable care to keep website information current, but services, prices, test availability, reference ranges, preparation instructions and turnaround estimates may change. We may correct errors, update content or temporarily restrict website availability when reasonably necessary.
